2008 - SelfDesign launches distance learning programs for global learners
2007 - Brent Cameron, Kathleen Forsythe and Micheal Maser receive the 2006 Prime Minister's Award for Teaching excellence for SelfDesign
2006 - publication of the book by Brent Cameron and River Meyer - SelfDesign: Nurturing Genius Through Natural Learning (Sentient Publishers, Boulder)
2002 - SelfDesign offers distance learning programs for homeschoolers in British Columbia, funded by the Ministry of Education
1996 - VillageQuest, a sustainable community project developed by SelfDesign Virtual High learners receives VanCity Environmental Youth Award, UNESCO - Canada Best Practice Award, CMHC Award
1993 - Brent Cameron and Michael Maser found SelfDesign Virtual High, the Vancouver High School
1991 - 'Marshall McLuhan Distinguished Teacher Award' to Brent Cameron for the founding of Wondertree and educational software development
1989 and 1991 - 'Northern Telecom National Award' - for the development of the computer program "Map of Distinctions" (1989) and for the development of The Power Smart Game (1991), by SelfDesign Wondertree Centre learners
1989 - International MacWorld - Claris Software Animation Award - San Francisco - Donnie Madsen ('Dancing Mouse'), Wondertree leaner
